Immerse yourself in history – where the past comes alive.
Starting today (through Sunday, August 3rd), we invite you to Wolin and Recław to experience one of the most extraordinary cultural and historical events in this part of Europe – the 30th Festival of Slavs and Vikings.
This is a unique time when the spirit of the early Middle Ages is reborn on an island rich in legendary heritage. Amid the sounds of horns, the clash of swords, and songs around the fire, the stories of our ancestors come to life – their daily routines, rituals, crafts, and battles.
During the festival, visitors can taste traditional dishes, enjoy historical food tastings, and try their hand at archery or spear throwing. In the evenings, folk concerts will take place, featuring bands from Poland and Belarus, evoking the spirit of ancient tribes through music.
There will also be attractions for the youngest participants – games, activities, and workshops designed to draw both children and adults into the world of old myths and legends. In the special Reading Zone, guests can meet authors of historical and fantasy books, and take part in lectures and literary workshops.
The festival will culminate in a spectacular laser show that will light up the sky over Wolin.
The 30th Festival of Slavs and Vikings is not just a spectacle – it is living history, waiting to be experienced with all your senses.
Wolin – a place where history speaks.
